A Oh, how I love this trilogy. The first film in the franchise, Hera Pheri by Rajiv Rai is a hilarious slapstick comedy that has an abundance of wildly funny moments and memorable characters. Bollywood movies are known for their over-the-top visual effects but Hera Pheri takes this to a whole new level when it comes to action sequences, which are well coordinated with great comedic timing. Boasting an ensemble cast led by Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn , Arshad Warsi, Om Puri and Kunal Khemu among others the film is laced with many zany situations that will have you in stitches. The film is full of the type of mayhem that you expect from a comedy and I must say that it is one of my all time favorite Bollywood comedies. The plot revolves around three friends who are trying to make money by any means necessary. The film takes place mostly in Delhi but also goes to Mumbai, Amritsar and Goa to name a few places. Raju (Ajay Devgn) is always looking for money making schemes with his friends Chulbul (Sanjay Dutt) and Gopal (Arshad Warsi). Chulbul is the leader of their trio and he concocts many schemes that go awry which invariably leads to them having very funny run-ins with the police. Raju who is serious about his schemes to make money also has a girlfriend (Amrita Arora) who never appears to be happy with the amount of cash he brings home. His efforts are halved when he finally decides to find employment. He goes to this job mainly to show his friend Gopal that he can be good for something other than just selling drugs. He has no experience in the field so Gopal gives him a position as a tour guide in Goa, off the coast of India. Raju works hard there but is always chased by an employee named Pravin (Sudhir Pandey). The three friends meet Balwinder (Kunal Khemu), an aspiring actor who tells them that he can get them roles in a Telegu film. Raju, Chulbul and Gopal go to India's southern most state but end up running around the city for several hours due to their hopelessly lost taxi driver. While there the trio are introduced to Sunita (Rimi Sen), Chulbul's love interest who has traveled from Delhi to pursue her acting dreams. The group accompanies Balwinder to an audition which turns out to be a fraud scheme organized by a man named Joginder (Javed Sheikh) for his young son, Ravi (Salman Khan). Ravi gets the role in the film and Balwinder's friends are told that they too can be in the film. When they arrive at Joginder's house, they are informed that their roles in the film have been filled by Ravi, who claims to be a huge fan of theirs. Joginder is revealed to be a corrupt man but when Raju learns that Sunita is his daughter, things get complicated and he is arrested by police along with Chulbul and Gopal for alleged involvement in a drug deal. The trio's friend Balwinder goes to prison for obstruction of justice which leaves Raju and Chulbul alone on the streets. cfa1e77820
